{"id":1609,"date":"2026-01-28T12:01:24","date_gmt":"2026-01-28T10:01:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.vdes-alliance.org\/?page_id=1609"},"modified":"2026-01-28T16:45:54","modified_gmt":"2026-01-28T14:45:54","slug":"job-postings","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.vdes-alliance.org\/index.php\/job-postings\/","title":{"rendered":"Job postings"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The VDES Alliance has currently an opening for a part-time President position.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Qualifications required:<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Previous experience serving on the Board of a non-profit organization or in a similar capacity within another company or organization.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Demonstrated ability to conduct meetings effectively.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Willingness to travel to represent the Alliance at external events as required.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ability and enthusiasm to devote the necessary time, energy, talents, and passion to fulfill the role successfully.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Key Responsibilities:<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Serve as the official spokesperson and representative of the Alliance, upholding its Mission, Vision, and Strategy.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Convening and chairing all Board meetings, including preparing and distributing meeting announcements and agendas at least 30 days in advance.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Voting in Board meetings only when required to break a tie.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Appointing all members of standing and special committees, subject to Board approval, and serving as an ex-officio member of all committees.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Monitoring committee activities to ensure alignment with Alliance goals, objectives, and established terms of reference.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Seeking and recommending new members to the Board.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Welcoming new members via a virtual call, highlighting the Alliance and its objectives.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Overseeing the performance of Alliance staff, reporting to the Board, and recommending additional staffing or resources as needed for effective administration.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Acting as a fiduciary for the Alliance and signatory to authorized transactions.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Preparing and managing an annual budget for the Alliance.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Communicating initiatives, prospective members, and other relevant matters to the Board that may advance the Alliance\u2019s objectives.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ensuring that assignments are completed according to the Alliance&#8217;s strategic plan and goals, and keeping membership informed of progress.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Attending, presenting, and\/or marketing at conferences, meetings, symposia, and workshops when directed by the Board.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Providing the Board with a monthly report detailing Alliance activities and time spent.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Establishing and maintaining strong working relationships with all Board members.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Carrying out additional duties as assigned by the Board.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>If interested, please contact the secretariat at the email address <strong>administration@vdes-alliance.org<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The VDES Alliance has currently an opening for a part-time President position.
